Lindsey Reif is a self-taught seamstress and designer living in Portland, OR. Lindsey brought her fingers to her obsession with vintage clothing shortly after her move to Portland in 2002. As a child in South Dakota, she assembled outfits for her Barbie dolls out of Kleenex and Scotch tape, taking special care in their construction so that the garments could be reused. This sort of emphasis on versatility and durability can be seen in her creations for Reif, with the incorporation of recycled and vintage fabrics. After graduating from Portland State University in 2007 with a degree in Spanish and Applied Linguistics, Lindsey worked as a studio assistant for Chelsea Erhart, and later as a production seamstress for Emily Katz. When she's not meticulously stitching, she enjoys taking road trips, building her record collection, and ingesting her adopted hometown's famous coffee
